Michele Kell

Michele was born in St Louis, Missouri. Her pet sitting career began at the age of seven caring for the neighbor’s dog Charlie.  She was raised by her grandparents who have given her respect and a working knowledge of caring for the elderly.  Michele’s career started in the dental arena with a certificate in Dental Assisting, followed by a degree in Dental Hygiene.

Michele’s true love has always been animals.  She wanted to show horses on the circuit and needed to have a job leaving her free to practice her life passion.  After a short dental career, she moved to Kansas City and started Critter Sitters of Kansas City Inc.  After 13 years and 60 pet sitters, she sold the business to pursue a radio career for animal advocacy.

Fur Talk was aired weekly for two years on Talk Radio 710, KCMO.  Michele found homes for countless animals.  She ran a cat rescue program out of her personal residence.  REGAP, Retired Greyhounds As Pets, used the radio show to find homes for retired racing greyhounds.  In 2001, Michele was awarded The Humane Society of Greater Kansas City Media Friend of the Year.  Sponsors of the award included Animal Planet, Petco, and The Bayer Corporation.

Michele moved to Colorado in 2002 with her horses and cats to enjoy the mountains and a healthier lifestyle.  Her new business, Pet And People Sitters, comes to Denver, Colorado.  She is proud to offer the best professional in-home pet and people care service in the Denver area for the last five years.  Michele’s representatives are handpicked, personally trained, and follow a philosophy of treating pets and people like treasure.
